The shield and clamp assembly shall be marked with pipe size, county of origin, the words "ALL STAINLESS" couplings manufacturers name or trademark and UPC® certification mark. | |
| CHARACTERISTICS: | A synthetic coupling with either a slotted, solid or expanded metal shield and bands with tightening device are made of stainless steel. For use in joining listed DWV materials with compatible O. D.'s. Recommended torque is 60 inch pounds. Some couplings are also listed for use on swimming pools and solar heating systems with pressures which do not exceed 50 psi. To be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and the requirements of the latest edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code. Products comply with the applicable sections of the latest edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code® and the International Plumbing Code®. Manufactured in compliance with ASTM C1277-2008. Products listed on this certificate have been tested by an IAPMO R&T recognized laboratory. This recognition has been granted based upon the laboratory’s compliance to the applicable requirements of ISO/IEC 17025. |
