| IDENTIFICATION: | The devices shall be permanently marked or permanently labeled with manufacturer's name or address, model number, pressure rating and direction of flow if applicable, the symbol of the organization which tested the device for compliance with ASCE 25-97, and "ASCE 25-97" marking. The product shall also bear the UPC® certification mark. All devices shall also have installation and resetting warnings affixed to the devices with a tag and on the device shipping carton: Installation Warning Warning! This device must be installed by a qualified installer in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instruction; if improperly installed, failure to function as intended or unwarranted interruption of gas service could result. Resetting Warning Following actuation of this device, reset the device and restore service only after a qualified person has verified no gas leak exits. Note: All metal marking material shall be rustproof. |

| CHARACTERISTICS: | Earthquake actuated automatic gas shutoff devices having gas pressure rating of 0.5 psi (3.4 kPa) up to and including 60 psi (414 kPa) with capability of operating at ambient temperatures of -10° F to 150°F (-23°C to 66° C), unless manufacturer specifies lower minimum or higher maximum operating temperature ranges. The devices are intended to be used in single-family or multi-family structure of three stories or less. To be installed in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, and in a manner as to be sensitive to earthquake ground motions that might result from the dynamic response of structures, equipment, or other appurtenances, and the latest edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code. When Installed, Pressure drop from meter to any outlet shall not be more than 0.5" water column. Products comply with the applicable sections of the latest edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code® and the International Plumbing Code®. Manufactured in compliance with ASCE 25-97. Products listed on this certificate have been tested by an IAPMO R&T recognized laboratory. This recognition has been granted based upon the laboratory’s compliance to the applicable requirements of ISO/IEC 17025. |
